- Getting a connection at 33.6 kpbs is near impossible, but you can get
- them over 30 kbps. It is not a rumor. It is hard enough to get a true
- 28.8 connection because you need crytal clear phone lines. 33.6
- technology is an innovation, but as you said it's the phone lines, not
- the modems that hinder the speed now. If everyone had ISDN then we
- could all communicate at 128kpbs. It's just that most people can't
- afford it.
